No electricity makes YB go crazy!!!

Last night the power company was going to be working on the lines in the area and shutting off everyone's power at 10:00 PM and it would be back on by 8:00 AM today. My sister and I were scrambling right before 10 to feed the kitties and make sure everything was off. Then promptly at 10:00 the power went out throughout the area. So strange. We lit some candles and had a few small battery powered lanterns. Of course last night it was hot and with no power there was no AC or fans. Our one lovely neighbors were out playing soccer while listening to loud polka like music from their car until almost midnight. My sister and I sat in the computer room sharing one of the lanterns and tried to read. We had a portable CD player with speakers that we use on vacation so we had something to listen to. But it was quite boring after a while, especially since all we could hear was the neighbor's music. We both were starting to go crazy since it was way to early for bed. I even worked a little on a scrapbook layout that I had started earlier in the day. About 11:30 the boredom got to me and I turned on the laptop. After winning a game of Mahjong Titans we put an episode of Star Trek Enterprise on since it was close by and easy to find in the dark. By that point it was time for bed. It was strange going to bed with complete silence and darkness. The power came back on between 4:30 - 5:00 AM. Hopefully they got done everything they needed to do so they won't have to turn off the power again. It really makes YB go crazy! :)

I did work on a digital layout today having to do with my astrological sign. :) I will post that tomorrow. And I finished 2 paper layouts for my Disneyland book. I had plans to get more done, but took my mom to see my Grandma since she still can't drive and then went shopping with my sister. My sister had a bad day at work so she needed some retail therapy. :)

Tomorrow I hope to get more layouts done for my Disneyland book.
