Scrapbook Layouts Galore!!!

WOW! I haven't posted in quite a while. Life has been pretty busy and hectic. Anyways, I'm just going to get to the layouts.

Britt released a template pack this week inspired by 4 of my layouts!!!

Photobucket

These are the layouts that inspired them:

Photobucket

I used one to scrap this page of Melinda and I playing in the Atlantic Ocean in York, ME. It is also for Britt's "Everyday Magic" challenge at ScrapMatters

Simply Joys

Photobucket

Last week Britt teamed up with Erica Zane to create this AMAZING mega kit, "Itty Bitty."

Photobucket

Here are two layouts I scrapped with it:

Little Girl Blue - A photo of Melinda when she was little. I love her hair in the photo, its so cute!

Photobucket

Where Valor proudly sleeps - The 116th Pennsylvania Infantry monument at Gettysburg National Military Park. The title is a line from the poem "Bivouac of the Dead."

Photobucket

And two weeks ago Britt released a really cute alpha, "Plastickle Me."

Photobucket

I recolored it and used on this layout: Mr and Mrs Incredible - Photos of Melinda and I with Mr. and Mrs. Incredible at Disney MGM Studios from January 2007.

Photobucket

A few weeks ago I got a code for a free 8x8 photobook from Shutterfly. Since I had quite a few layouts done already, I decided to do a phootbook all about Cassie. So I had to do a few more layouts.

Bird Watching - This was for one of the Tuesday Template challenges at ScrapMatters. Cassie loves watching the birds from my bedroom window.

Photobucket

Cassie's Tree - When we take Cassie out for a walk we normally will stop by the tree where we found her. This was for a Saturday Special challenge at ScrapMatters about layering.

Photobucket

Hello? Is anywhere there? - This was for a Grand Theft Layout challenge at ScrapMatters. I love these photos of Cassie playing with the phone.

Photobucket

All month long at ScrapMatters they have been doing a daily download of a fabulous kit, "Girls Rock." I finally got a chance to scrap with it.

Rock on! - Photos of Melinda and I at the Triple Play concert from 2007 in Grand Rapids.

Photobucket

Let's Go Red Wings! - For the other "Everyday Magic" challenge in January at ScrapMatters was to scrap your favorite outfit, I scrapped my Red Wings jerseys.

Photobucket

Time Flies - 2008 - I finally finished this layout of a review of some of the memorable events from 2008.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

It's a Small World - This was for the challenge at the DISboards and for a "Grand Theft Layout" challenge at ScrapMatters. I used photos from my mom's trip in 1969 and from our 2008 trip.

Photobucket

Pinnochio's Daring Journey - This was for a DISboards challenge from a few weeks ago. Photos from the ride at Disneyland.

Photobucket

I've also done a few other Gettysburg layouts.

Beloved Companion - The 11th PA Infantry monument at Gettysburg National Military Park. The main feature of this monument is the bronze figure of their beloved mascot, Sallie. This was for a "Roadmap to Scrap" challenge at ScrapMatters.

Photobucket

By a comrade's grave - This was for a Speed Scrap at ScrapMatters. The title is the name of the monument. This is the monument for the 38th Pennsylvania Infantry (9th Reserves) at Gettysburg National Military Park.

Photobucket

Major General John Buford - For the daytime Speed Scrap the other day at ScrapMatters. The portrait statue of Major General John Buford at Gettysburg National Military Park.

Photobucket

And one last layout: The Stairs - This was for a "Tuesday Template Challenge" at ScrapMatters. The theme was to scrap about something you overcame or accomplished. I scrapped about climbing the stairs at Colonial Michilimackinac since I have always been afraid of those.

Photobucket

That is all of the new layouts from the past few weeks. I'm hoping to get some paper scrapbooking done tomorrow. I really need to get to work on my Disneyland book before we go to Florida in March.

Later!

I've been a bad blogger!

Oh dear, I have been such a bad blogger! The holidays were good, though it always seems hard to get back to the normal routine.

On New Year's Day I watched part of the "Winter Classic" outdoor hockey game that was between the Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks. They played at Wrigley Field in Chicago. The Wings weren't doing so well in the first period so we turned it off and watched the "Twilight Zone" marathon. During the 2nd and 3rd periods it seemed that everytime we flipped the game on, the Wings would score. They ended up winning 6-4. I'm so glad that the Wings were able to participate in one of these games. We went to the outdoor game back in 2001 dubbed the "Cold War" between U of M and Michigan State. It was fun, but soooooooo cold!!!!

I have lots of layouts to post, so so going to get to it.

Britt released a super cool new kit this week called "Monstrosity." If you purchase it before Friday you get a really cool bonus alpha.

Photobucket

Here is what I scrapped with it:

Welcome to Monstrosity

Last week Britt released a really cool template pack inspired by fellow Britt-girl, Kelsy.

Lately I've really been in the mood to scrap my photos from Gettysburg.

Photobucket

History's Muse - The 123rd New York Infantry monument. The figure on the top represents Clio, the muse of history.

Photobucket

Schoolteacher's Regiment - The 151 PA Infantry monument. It got the nickname "Schoolteacher's Regiment" because of all the teachers in the unit.

Photobucket

Pennsylvania State Monument - The PA State Monument is probably the most photographed monument at Gettysburg and also the largest. It was greated to honor all Pennsylvanians who fought at Gettysburg. This was for a Speed Scrap at ScrapMatters

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Witness to History - The Lutheran Theological Seminary which played a vital role in the first day of fighting at Gettysburg.
