"Find Your Roots" digital scrapbook kit

I have something really amazing to post!!! It is my first ever digital scrapbook kit!!!

I have been wanting to create this kit for several years, but never had the mojo to do it. This kit is inspired by my recent discoveries about my family. In April I went to La Porte, Indiana to find the grave of my Great-Grandma who died in 1920 when my Grandpa was only 5 years old. We knew very little about her so I was hoping to find something about her. I found her obituary which said how she died along with her marriage in the 1912 marriage registry. It was an incredible find. I wasn't able to copy or photograph the marriage registry, but carefully copied everything so I could recreate it in Photoshop. That inspired the creation of this kit. Several of the elements in this kit are inspired by things I have found in my family's history and recreated to use in digital layouts. I really hope you like it.

It will be available to download for FREE for 2 weeks. You will have until Saturday, May 26 at 11:59 PM ET to download this kit.

Without further ado, I bring you "Find Your Roots." (Not all elements are shown on the preview)

I also have a pack of word strips that coordinates with the kit:

And if that wasn't enough I also have another wordart pack of family definitions that would work perfectly with this kit:

Enjoy!
Melissa

I feel mixed emotions... I just found your blog because of the ScrapMatters birthday bloghop... I missed the Find Your Roots freebie! I have been a genealogist for 41+ years so I really would love your kit! And all of my genealogy starts in MICHIGAN! I was born in Lansing. My brother is a "Rice Crispi" as he was born in Battle Creek. I now live in Utah after an 11 year stop over in California. I will sign up for your newsletter ASAP.
